Surroundings

Our B&B is located in a farm,  3 Km far from Trani city, nearby an intersection connecting all main touristic attractions.


SEA COAST (5Km) – : The nicest beach is located between Trani south (rocks or sand) and Bisceglie north (rocks or pebbled stones). Both areas are mostly  access free, yet still provide rental services. At night time, the sea coast turns into the heart of the nightlife, full of restaurants, bar, music and lights.


CITY (Trani-4Km) – Trani is well known for its Romanic Style Cathedral named “the Adriatic’s Pearl”, its Swabian Castle, the Colonna peninsula, the Jewish quarter, the natural touristic port, the Statuti Marittimi, the Botanic Garden overlooking the sea, its stone called “Trani” and its Moscato sweet wine (DOC).


SWEBIAN CASTLES (Andria 26Km, Trani 4Km, Barletta14Km) – All of them have been built, or extended, from Fredrik II during the Holy Roman Empire in XIII sec. The most famous is the octagonal shaped CASTEL DEL MONTE, located in Andria. Trani’s castle is located right on the sea, it was turned into a prison over the years, and was the place where the King Manfredi got married (2-6-1259, Fredrik’s son). Barletta’s castle, as well is closer to the sea and preserve an authentic sculpture of Frederick II.


CANNE’S BATTLE (25Km) – One of the most attractive historical places in Apulia, named after the Battle of Canne (216 B.C.). It is possible  to see the rest of the village of Canne, then the related museum.


DOLMEN (Bisceglie, 13Km) – Named “Chianca Dolmen” it is placed in Bisceglie’s olives farms, surrounded by a little park. It is an important megalithic prehistorical monument, dated back to Bronze Age. It is a single-chamber megalithic tomb where objects dating back to 1200 B.C. has been found.


PARCO NAZ. DELL’ALTA MURGIA (Natural Park 33Km) – It is a big 68.000 hectares with many attractive places inside : bauxite mines, Mercadante Forrest, Pulo di Altamura, Dinosaur’s Valley, Gravina di Puglia, S. Magno necropolis and many others. In this area, the best Jazzi of all south, related to the transhumance period, are preserved.


St GEFFA CURCH (parco, 0.5Km) – Surrounded by its own park, 500m far from here and can be reached by walking, it is a paleocrhistian hypogeum church, dug in the rock. Inside the park, it’s possible to see different  animal species like horses, rabbits, sheep, peacock… Perfect place for babies.


DIOCESAN MUSEUM (Trani, 4Km) – Located next to the Cathedral, it has several collections: Bishops sec; sculptures sec; archeologic sec; “Tesoro Capitolare”; ivory altar; liturgical vestments; Relics and Pinacoteca.   


TYPING MACHINE MUSEUM (Trani, 4Km) – One of the three available in Italy, located inside the Diocesan Museum, it displays over 450 different models of typing machines.


DIOCESAN MUSEUM (Bisceglie, 12Km) – Located inside the Episcopal Palace, it displays the bishop house, the Pinacoteca, a jewels collection, a lady clothes collection from the 1800 and the Cathedral treasure.


NATIONAL ARCH JATTA MUSEUM (Ruvo, 21Km) – It is one of the most famous Apulian museums. It preserves the original layout as per the founder’s concept. The collection it is made by terracotta vases dated between VII and IV sec B.C.


BELTRANI PALACE – (Trani, 4Km) – It is the multifunction cultural center of Trani. It displays its own permanent collections and temporary exhibitions and events. Closed on Monday.
